SINGLES MINISTRY

A Ministry of Briarwood Presbyterian Church

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

The Briarwood Singles ministry consists of three communities targeted for different age groups: Graduates & Career, Branches, and In One Accord. These communities exist to allow peer relationships to form in the context of the greater body of the church. Along with the Sunday morning ‘Sunday School’, we have small groups, mission trips, social events, dinners, and out of town retreats. We also seek to partner with the numerous ministries at Briarwood to help everyone find a place to serve. While these communities focus on singles, there are many other communities at Briarwood. So, feel free to look around and to find the best place for you.

Saeyoung Park, Singles Pastor

With a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary, Saeyoung began working at Briarwood in 2023. He loves helping young adults lay a firm foundation in God’s Word as they discern their calling, steward their gift of singleness, navigate relationships and marriage, pursue deep friendships, build up the church, and pursue Christ with all their heart, soul, and might! He has been married to his beautiful wife, Mikyung Choi, since 2019.

Graduates & Career (G&C) Sunday School Community
“No Greater Love” • In John 15:13, Jesus says to his disciples, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” It’s striking that in Jesus’ estimation, the greatest expression of love is not the love between family, or the love between husband and wife, but the sacrificial love that one shows for his friends. We’ve all experienced friendship at different stages of our lives, yet rarely do we pause and reflect upon what friendship is. We invite you this quarter to do exactly that, as we examine what Scripture has to say about the bond that C. S. Lewis described as “the greatest of all worldly goods.”
