Briarwood's Children Ministry 
Briarwood’s Children’s Ministry desires to partner with parents to lead children to a saving, growing relationship with Christ by presenting the gospel, training children to worship, and equipping them to impact others for God’s glory.

CONNECT  is our ministry for K4–3rd Graders.

IGNITE is our ministry for 4th–6th Graders.

Jake Stallings, Children’s Director

After graduating from Auburn University, Jake continued his education at Southeastern Bible College and completed his degree at Faith Online. He began working full-time at Briarwood in 2015 and began his current role as Children’s Director in 2022. He enjoys wearing crazy costumes and planning fun events for the children almost as much as he loves watching the children learn who God is step by step through Bible teaching and relationships. He and his wife, Shelly, grew up at Briarwood and married in 2020.

CHILDREN'S WEEKLY SCHEDULE

SUNDAY MORNINGS – Children's Sunday School
Visitors can sign their children in at the Sunday School table located on the 2nd Floor S Hallway of the School Building. Please email Raleigh Macoy at rmacoy@briarwood.org with questions.

K4 – 6th Grade Children: 9:30–10:30 a.m.
K4 & K5 • 2nd floor E hallway of the School Building
1st – 3rd Grade • 2nd Floor N Hallway of the School Building
4th – 6th Grade • 2nd Floor S Hallway of the School Building

SUNDAY MORNINGS – Children's Worship
K4–3rd Grade Children meet during the 8:00 & 10:55 Worship Services in the Children’s Auditorium. This is a time for kids to truly learn what it means to praise the Lord and grow in their relationship with Him!
SUNDAY NIGHTS – Children’s Choirs
We are so grateful to the Lord for our children’s choirs! Through children’s choirs the lives of our covenant children will be blessed as they learn to enthusiastically “sing unto the Lord a New Song!” Our Children’s Choirs meet each Lord’s Day evening during the worship hour at 6:00. Both groups (preschool and elementary choirs) are released from the worship service to their choirs. For more information, please contact Shanna Phillips.

CHILDREN’S WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

CONNECT: K4–3rd graders meet in the Children’s Auditorium 6:30-8:00 p.m. during MidWeek. In Connect each week we have a Bible lesson, missions skit, crafts, songs, recreation, and lots of fun! Click HERE for CONNECT homework. 

IGNITE: 4th–6th graders meet in the Gym from  6:30 to 8:00 p.m. during MidWeek.
MIDWEEK AT BRIARWOOD
Children with Special Needs
Our goal at Briarwood is to make the Gospel accessible to all, as the Body of Christ shows equal concern for people with disabilities and their families. Our Ministry to children and adult with special needs is called Special Connections. We would encourage you to reach out to us to see how your child with special needs can be involved in the Children's Ministry events and more here at Briarwood.
