ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
Local Mobilization Ministry:
Briarwood’s Local Mobilization Ministry seeks to get Briarwood members involved in strategic service projects in the Birmingham area. These service projects range from yard work, painting, and distributing food to repair projects with local Briarwood-supported ministries and agencies. Twice a year, the Mobilization Ministry hosts IMPACT Birmingham days, where the Briarwood congregation is sent out in teams to serve alongside each other and help local ministry partners.
The Local Mobilization Ministry prioritizes IMPACTING Birmingham by focusing on the following ministries:

IMPACT Birmingham Days
Twice a year, the Briarwood Congregation partners with local ministries to do service projects ranging from yard work, painting, and distributing food to repair projects. These days are great opportunities for our church family to serve together as the body of Christ and IMPACT Birmingham for Christ!

Prison Ministry
Briarwood Presbyterian Church began a prison ministry in 1978. Its mission is to provide a multi-faceted model of programs and services based on principles of biblical justice in order to equip churches to reach victims, offenders, and their families. Our goal is to successfully reintegrate victims, prisoners, and their families and to build the Kingdom of God.

Donate to Briarwood-approved disaster relief agencies and receive training to prepare you to help during emergency and disaster relief situations.
