Scene 10 - The Garden of Gethsemane

Jesus was in His last days on earth. After sharing the Last Supper with His disciples in the Upper Room, they retired to the Garden of Gethsemane, 

where He told Peter, James and John to wait for Him while He prayed. 

As Jesus prayed, He became greatly distressed and troubled 

knowing the great agony He would soon experience. 

He cried out to God, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. 

Remove this cup from Me, yet not what I will, but what You will.” 

Jesus’ desire was to fully please God, even to the point of dying on the cross for the sins of many. As Jesus rose to speak to His disciples, 

they were approached by a crowd led by Judas, who would betray Him. 

After a series of six trials, Jesus was condemned to death by crucifixion.
