TUESDAY

"Joshua: Every Good Promised Fulfilled by Jen Wilkin" Facilitators: Mary Anne Turnbull and Karen Duffey
9:30 a.m. beginning September 8 • Room: G101

In this 10-session, verse-by-verse study of the book of Joshua, Jen Wilkin helps us see how God’s commands, though sometimes difficult, are always rooted in His steadfast love for His people. Israel’s story is our story. We battle not against flesh and blood as they did, but we courageously war against the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil, trusting in the finished work of the true and better Joshua, Jesus Christ. Books available in the Briarwood bookstore or order through Amazon.

How old are you?  How many days do you have left of the earth?  Are you thinking about or planning for the last years.  Our study will talk about what the world says to the young olds, the medium olds and the oldest olds.  But what does the Bible say for those years as well as these years?  This study is for women of all ages. Books available in the Briarwood bookstore or order through Amazon.

"Ruth" taught by Kristie Harrick and Elizabeth Bondurant

The book of Ruth contains one of the Bible's best-known and most-loved stories. Join us each week as we enter into an uncertain time in the lives of Naomi and Ruth; and, as we enter into an uncertain time in the history of Israel. Over our weeks together we will explore God’s faithfulness, God’s sweet and bitter providence, God’s redemption thru Kinsman-Redeemer, and God’s covenant.

THURSDAY

"Revelation: Letter to the Churches" Taught by Donna Evans
9:30 am beginning September 10 • Room: G-101

What would you write to your struggling friend? The book of Revelation is the Apostle John’s letter sent to 7 real churches who were knee deep in compromise, complacency, suffering, and persecution. John encourages them not to give up or give in, but to remember that a Christian’s ultimate reality is not our sin and suffering, but the already conquering kingdom of Jesus Christ. Revelation tells us what all churches at all times must know: Jesus has overcome and won the victory over Satan, sin, and death! We will be studying the first three chapters of Revelation and John's letter to seven churches. The Message of Revelation by Michael Wilcock is a supplemental book that we will be using.
