Global Ministries Conference
We invite you to Briarwood’s 61st Annual Global Ministries Conference! Let us rejoice and thank the Lord for His faithfulness to our church family here at Briarwood. He has firmly planted a global vision and missionary burden, for the Nations, into the lives of the pastors and leaders who have come before us! In a sense, it is impossible to mention Briarwood church and not think of her missionary fervor throughout the years.
During this conference your family will have many opportunities to carry forward this legacy ministry of Briarwood when you meet with our missionaries from around the world as they testify about all that Christ is doing across the Nations.
Our conference theme is “Reconciling the World” and our key scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:17-19.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.”

Evangelist, Christianity Explored Ministries
Rico Tice is the cofounder of Christianity Explored and a former minister at All Souls Langham Place, a lively church in central London. He believes that the essence of the Christian faith lies in the life of Jesus Christ, who claimed to be the Son of God.
Passionate about sharing Jesus through the Bible, Rico specializes in the Gospel of Mark and developed the Christianity Explored course to address key themes about Jesus and their relevance today. He works with Christianity Explored Ministries to create engaging video resources and courses that explore life’s big questions.

College Missions Conference – February 20–21
We invite all college students across the southeast to join us for a weekend of teaching, worship, and fellowship at the Barn. Rico Tice, co-founder of Christianity Explored Ministries, and Dr. Scott Redd will be leading our main sessions with the theme, “Reconciling the World.”
The conference begins Friday night at 6:00 p.m. with free dinner at the Barn, followed by teaching, worship, and fellowship. On Saturday, we will enjoy meals together, teaching sessions from ministry partners, and worship all day long. The conference concludes with Sunday School and Morning Worship in the Worship Center.

The children will receive a free GLOW t-shirt and will enjoy games, songs, GLOW swag, great prizes, and lots of FUN! Most importantly, the children will learn what God is doing around the world through our missionaries.
We will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday and at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. On Sunday morning, all children should report to their regular locations, then they will all be led into the Children’s Auditorium to hear from ministry partners and have a missions-themed worship time.

Conference Closing with International Congregations
To conclude the conference, we will gather along with our brothers and sisters from our Hispanic, Japanese, and Korean congregations to worship altogether. Each of these congregations will lead a song of praise in their heart language. We will then hear from Dr. Richard, and Pastor Bryan Wintersteen will announce our first count of Faith Promise pledges.
