Homestead - “The Epistle to the Hebrews” Empty nesters through great-grandparents • The Epistle to the Hebrews presents the Christian life as a race that must be run with endurance, grounded in the final and sufficient work of Jesus Christ. In Him, we have an unshakeable security, but this does not give way to passivity. Hebrews warns that drifting, hardening the heart, and willful unbelief can lead to catastrophic loss, just as it was with Israel in the wilderness. But steadfast faith, even in the midst of suffering, leads to God’s promised rest. This letter urges us to “hold fast” to our confession, to draw near with confidence, and to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith.
