Letter to the Congregation

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

That is the beat of our hearts right now. Briarwood (and beyond) has been used by the Lord as a shepherd for the Reeder family. We would like to take this time to thank all of you for the outpouring of love for us.

There have been cards from so many of you personally plus Communities and classes of 3-year-olds, 5-year-olds, teens, children’s choirs, catechism class and on and on. So many of these cards have special, heartfelt, handwritten notes sharing how Harry impacted their lives. Reading them has been a comfort to our souls.

You have blessed us with so many meals…we have been well fed by the members of this church. Our homes have been graced by beautiful plants and flowers. But we know most importantly you have prayed for us, wept with us, and surrounded us by being the sheep dogs. Goodness and Mercy from the Lord. I hope you know that we realize the loss is not just ours but Briarwood’s and the Church universal’s loss as well.

May the Lord continue to grant healing, growth, and an even greater dependence on Him as we walk through this time of grief together. Thank you for standing by the Reeder family.
