Dear Congregation,
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
As we walk together through the hard Providence of our Lord, we are grateful for the many ways in which He reveals Himself to us. He calls us to trust Him and reminds us that He has gone before us and will provide for us all that we need. I want to share just one of the many examples of this with you. In a very short period of time our Lord has provided our morning pulpit supply through August 27 with incredibly gifted and effective pastors who share Briarwood’s comprehensive commitment to the Scriptures and who have a deep love and appreciation for both Pastor Reeder and the Briarwood Church family.
While we have already been blessed and encouraged by the pulpit ministry of Phil Tuttle and Rob Pacienza, we look forward in the coming weeks, by the grace of God, to have Sandy Willson, Peter Lillback and Kevin DeYoung minister the Word to us before we celebrate Communion together on the morning of July 16. Thereafter, Lord willing, we will benefit from the preaching and pastoral ministry of John Currie, Neil Stewart, Ligon Duncan, Peter Jones, Rick Phillips and Nate Shurden, which will take us all the way through August 27. Great is His Faithfulness! So, be encouraged and take time today to thank Him for His faithfulness, His graciousness and His loving kindness toward us as a church family.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church
and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
