We are thrilled to share that the congregation has overwhelmingly responded in favor of officially extending a call to Dr. John Scott Redd, Jr. to serve as the next Pastor of Briarwood Presbyterian Church!
 
With this encouraging response, we now move forward to the next step in the process: Evangel Presbytery will examine Dr. Redd and vote to approve his call to Briarwood. Upon receiving their approval, Dr. Redd will be able to begin his new role as our pastor. We anticipate this process to be completed in July.
 
The Redd Family plans to relocate to Birmingham in late July or early August. Please be in prayer for them as they navigate this season of transition — moving to a new city, settling into a new home, adjusting to new schools, and beginning a new ministry.

Your commitment to seeking the Lord’s will made it possible for the Pulpit Search Committee to discern His leading clearly.
