VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2025
There are three weeks in the life of our church where I am reminded why I love Briarwood so much—Walk Through Nativity, Global Ministry Conference, and Vacation Bible School. I’m sure there are other wonderful weeks but for me personally, these are the BIG THREE, and I believe every member should try and take part in each of these in some way each year.
One of these, Vacation Bible School, is fast approaching, and I would like to encourage you to find a way to be a part of the fun. Bring your children, grandchildren, neighbors, or a friend. You can sign them up at briarwood.org/vbs. VBS is a big, fun, week-long celebration, and I know it will be a great way to kick off a fun filled summer at Briarwood.
This year, we will be UNDER CONSTRUCTION and learning all about Nehemiah. Our VBS mission project will fund a new Mustard Seed house at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya, which provides housing for families who have a relative under care in the hospital.

Volunteering and Prayer
We also need help! There are multiple ways to contribute to VBS. We need volunteers who can help with greeting, registration, offering counting, crafts, classroom shepherding, praying, and decorations. We will also need 100 teen helpers. The needs are endless and it takes around 250 adults to pull this off each year. In a culture where it is becoming increasingly harder to recruit volunteers, thank you to those who have already signed up to serve this important ministry. If you haven’t signed up yet, come join the fun. I promise you won’t regret it! There is nothing better than being part of the spiritual growth of our children. I may be the one planning VBS, but the volunteers are the ones who pull it off year after year.
Please pray for Vacation Bible School—for the final preparations, the weather, stamina for our volunteers, and safety for all attending. More importantly, would you pray that the children and adults attending would grow in their faith and that the Lord would be glorified through this week? I can’t wait to see what He will accomplish during one of my favorite weeks of the year!

Registration Information
Visit briarwood.org/vbs to register, order t-shirts, or for teen helper sign-ups. Email Raleigh Macoy to help at rmacoy@briarwood.org. Fun Fact: You do not have to have a child attending to help; between 60–70% of volunteers don’t have a child participating!
