IMPACT BIRMINGHAM TESTIMONIAL

This IMPACT Birmingham, we have the privilege of adding a new Ministry Partner to our service day: Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank. We have partnered with them for Sanctity of Life Sunday for many years now and are excited to serve them in a new way. You have the opportunity to support their ministry by helping them sort and bundle diapers on Saturday, April 26 for IMPACT Birmingham.
About Bundles of Hope

Bundles of Hope is a nonprofit organization founded right here in Birmingham that cares for the community by providing free diapers to Alabama families in need. They have delivered over 9 million diapers in the 10 years of the ministry’s existence and 3.5 million in the last year alone. They deliver diapers both directly through walk-ins to the Bundles of Hope “Changing Station” and collaboratively through 92 partner organizations that distribute to other communities in Alabama. They serve 47 counties in the cities of Huntsville, Dothan, Auburn, Birmingham, and Mobile.

Beyond the Bundles

While diapers are the means of ministry, their work goes way beyond that. Their focus is to remind women of their value as image-bearers of our King by showing that they are seen by the God of the universe who even cares for their smallest needs—like diapers. Each bundle of diapers comes with a handwritten note from a volunteer to encourage them and show them the love of Christ. The women and families that are served need community and love just as much as they need diapers. Some of which are in dire need due to financial crisis or an abusive relationship. Some women have nowhere else to go, so they turn to Bundles of Hope. This was the case for one woman who came straight to The Changing Station after being struck by her partner hard enough to break her tooth, according to Executive Director Lindsay Gray. Bundles of Hope became a haven for her to receive more than just diapers. She found love through the assistance of staff and volunteers who got her to a safe place.
Build a Meaningful Partnership

If you share a heart for encouraging women and families, please join Bundles of Hope by volunteering your time—starting with IMPACT but not ending there! They need volunteers all year round. Whether you can bundle diapers, write encouraging notes, or welcome families to The Changing Station, they would love to have you. They especially encourage families to volunteer together, so if you have children, bring them too! The goal of IMPACT is to connect you to our ministry partners so you can personally invest in them. We hope that your IMPACT is far more than one day a year.
